Manufacturing Process of the Fiberglass Bull Statue at Meizz Sculpture Factory

1. Clay Prototype CreationThe process begins with a sculptor handcrafting a full-scale (1:1) clay model of the dynamic bull. Muscle definition, horn curvature, and overall posture are carefully refined to ensure accurate movement and realistic texture.
2. Fiberglass Mold MakingOnce the clay model is finalized, it is sectioned to create a silicone inner mold and a fiberglass outer mold. This mold system precisely reproduces every detail of the clay prototype and offers high hardness and durability for repeated use.
3. Fiberglass Casting & Forming
   The prepared fiberglass resin, reinforced with glass fiber for added strength, is poured into the mold with pre-embedded steel reinforcements placed inside. After curing, the sculpture is demolded to form the rough bull body, with the thickness controlled at 8–10 mm to ensure structural stability.
4. Hand Finishing & Polishing
   Skilled workers trim edges, fill seams, and polish the surface layer by layer using sandpaper. This step enhances the clarity and flow of the muscle lines and horn details, resulting in a smooth, burr-free finish.
5. Imitation Gold Painting
   A primer coat is applied first, followed by 2–3 layers of high-gloss imitation gold paint. Each layer is lightly polished after drying. Finally, a scratch-resistant protective topcoat is added, creating an even golden metallic finish while improving durability and weather resistance for outdoor use.

• Q: Is the fiberglass material strong? Can it bear weight?
  A: The sculpture is made with thickened fiberglass, reinforced with glass fiber and pre-embedded steel supports. It offers high strength and toughness and remains stable in normal display environments (non-impact conditions) without requiring additional load-bearing support.
• Q: Will the paint peel off? Is it suitable for outdoor exposure?
  A: The surface is finished with a scratch-resistant protective topcoat. For indoor use, the color can last 3–5 years without fading. For outdoor placement, we recommend applying an additional protective coat once a year; this allows the sculpture to withstand temperature differences from –10°C to 45°C, as well as daily sun, wind, and rain.
• Q: The sculpture weighs about 70 kg. How many people are needed to move it? Are installation accessories included?
  A: We recommend 3–4 people for safe handling. The base is pre-drilled with expansion bolt holes, and matching installation bolts are included, allowing the sculpture to be securely fixed to concrete or tiled surfaces upon arrival.
• Q: Can the size be customized, for example, a larger 3-meter version?
  A: Yes, custom sizes are available, ranging from 1 to 5 meters. For larger sizes, the fiberglass thickness will be increased to ensure stability. Pricing is adjusted proportionally, and the production time will be extended by approximately 5–8 days.
• Q: Are colors other than gold available, such as red bronze or black?
  A: Yes, multiple color options are supported, including red bronze, matte black, and natural fiberglass finishes. Color changes are free of charge; please specify your preference when placing the order.
• Q: Is the packaging safe for shipping? What if the sculpture is damaged in transit?
  A: The sculpture is packed using a three-layer protection system—wooden crate, foam, and shock-absorbing padding—with the sculpture and base secured separately. We also purchase shipping damage insurance; if any damage occurs upon delivery, we will provide a free replacement or arrange repairs.
• Q: Can text or a company name be added to the sculpture?
  A: Yes, text can be added using a different paint color. Engraving is not recommended, as it may affect structural strength. Please provide the text details when placing your order.
