Raúl’s artistic career
Raúl was a student of Alfred Boucher in Paris, and her works are characterized by their use of classical methods, adept at expressing emotions and stories through busts and allegorical sculptures, such as La Fortune, preserved in Chateau de Chois y-le Roi (94), a large 190 centimeter marble replica representing a goddess of the sea, sitting on wheels, symbolizing the wheel of luck and crossing waves, or the marble commissioned by the state in 1895 for the Industrial Palace on the Champs – Élysées, representing a fable of the universe and nature.
