Craftsmanship Process

1. Clay Sculpting: Artists create a 1:1 scale prototype from clay based on design sketches, meticulously refining the pose, dynamics, and fine details.
2. Silicone Mold Making: A high-quality silicone sectional mold is created over the clay original to capture even the most subtle textures and skin grains.
3. Wax Injection: Molten paraffin is poured into the silicone mold to create a hollow wax model. In this critical stage, skilled artisans hand-repair any minor imperfections on the wax surface.
4. Ceramic Shell Building: The wax model is repeatedly dipped into refractory slurry and silica sand, building a hard ceramic shell around it.
5. Dewaxing & Kiln Firing: The shell is heated to melt away the wax (the “lost wax” phase), leaving a hollow cavity. It is then fired at high temperatures to enhance its structural strength.
6. Bronze Casting: Bronze alloy is heated to over 1000°C until molten, then poured into the pre-dried ceramic shell cavity.
7. Cleaning & Finishing: Once cooled, the shell is broken to reveal the bronze casting. This is followed by cutting, welding (if cast in sections), grinding, and polishing until the surface is flawlessly smooth.
8. Thermal Patination: Artisans use a blowtorch to heat the bronze surface while applying chemical solutions. This reaction creates the desired antique brown or bronze patina, finished with a protective wax coating.
