Product Description
Capture the fleeting beauty of a performance that lasts a lifetime. This exquisite ballerina bronze sculpture is a masterpiece of motion and material, meticulously cast using the time-honored lost-wax technique.
The piece flawlessly freezes a prima ballerina at the pinnacle of her performance. Poised flawlessly en pointe, she leans into a breathtaking cambré, her right arm reaching toward the heavens while her left extends with effortless elegance.
Every detail is a testament to superior craftsmanship: from the fluid tension of her muscular contours to the delicate, gravity-defying folds of her tutu. This is more than a statue; it is a symphony of bronze that celebrates the strength, discipline, and ethereal beauty of the ballet.
Craftsmanship Process
- Clay Sculpting: Artists create a 1:1 scale prototype from clay based on design sketches, meticulously refining the pose, dynamics, and fine details.
- Silicone Mold Making: A high-quality silicone sectional mold is created over the clay original to capture even the most subtle textures and skin grains.
- Wax Injection: Molten paraffin is poured into the silicone mold to create a hollow wax model. In this critical stage, skilled artisans hand-repair any minor imperfections on the wax surface.
- Ceramic Shell Building: The wax model is repeatedly dipped into refractory slurry and silica sand, building a hard ceramic shell around it.
- Dewaxing & Kiln Firing: The shell is heated to melt away the wax (the “lost wax” phase), leaving a hollow cavity. It is then fired at high temperatures to enhance its structural strength.
- Bronze Casting: Bronze alloy is heated to over 1000°C until molten, then poured into the pre-dried ceramic shell cavity.
- Cleaning & Finishing: Once cooled, the shell is broken to reveal the bronze casting. This is followed by cutting, welding (if cast in sections), grinding, and polishing until the surface is flawlessly smooth.
- Thermal Patination: Artisans use a blowtorch to heat the bronze surface while applying chemical solutions. This reaction creates the desired antique brown or bronze patina, finished with a protective wax coating.

Artistic Heritage
Dance is a timeless inspiration for sculptors. Throughout history, masters have interpreted dance through various aesthetics—from the realism of Edgar Degas’ Little Dancer of Fourteen Years to the Art Deco style of Demetre Chiparus and the joyful forms of Fernando Botero.
Our 1.8-meter bronze ballerina continues this lineage. Blending classical elegance with realistic detail, it casts a fleeting movement into a timeless bronze collection.
